INSULATED STEEL PANELS (SANDWICH PANELS) |

About Insulated Panels K-Lock insulated panels offer a modern alternative to today's construction. These lightweight panels consist of a metal outer skin, bonded to an insulation board (referred to as the core). The bonding adhesive is specially manufactured for panels. The core material can be of:

| Using state of the art, automated panel equipment, the panels are manufactured to meet your needs. K-Lock panels are attractive, easy to install and highly versatile. Standard width is 48" (121.92 cm) and 2" to 12" (5-30.4 cm) thick with almost any length possible. | |||||||
| Our core is specially designed with an interlocking system to avoid any gaps in the core within the panels for long spans. The core also goes through a sanding process on both sides of the board to ensure the joining of the core pieces are level plus any precutting irregularities have been smoothed out, guaranteeing the accuracy of the thickness of each panel. As of 2006, we have now incorporated the interlocking system along the panel sides joining panel to panel in a finger join. This connection now helps to prevent vapor leaks. (see the example in the Standard Panel connection below). For the K-Lock Plus Roof, we have now changed the connection to a ship lap, which will help prevent cold transfer. | |||||||
| Traditional facings are a 26 gauge 690 galvanized steel that is painted with a baked on polyester appliance white finish. We now offer various types of designs, finishes and colors for a beautiful exterior appearance while still having the food grade "appliance white" on the interior. Note that special colors and finishes do require a lead time of 3 months. Our panels are both CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) and meet USDA requirements of part 16 sanitation. | |||||||

Korolite Engineered Panel Structures
offers another benefit for its customers who require special wash down
environments, such as food processing areas and hospital operating rooms. FRP applied to the steel panel surface provides protection from frequent, rigorous cleaning. The FRP board is laminated to the steel panel. This application is done right at our manufacturing plant and based on customer requirements, the FRP board can be applied to the whole length of the panel or select areas. |
